Over the past two weeks the students have been engaged in learning activities related to Measurement.

They have used direct and indirect comparisons to decide which is  heavier or holds more, and explain reasoning in everyday language.

It’s been lots of fun learning and coming to understand more about mass and how heavy things are. The children have used balance scales to compare the mass of various classroom items such as scissors, glue sticks and tissue boxes.

Continuing on from last term we have learnt about the important events in the Gospels related to the Holy Easter season. The students have learnt about Jesus Christ’s passion, death and resurrection. The children have engaged in song, story, prayer, retelling and re-enacting in order to learn more about these events.

They have also been introduced to the story of Pentecost Sunday and the coming of the Holy Spirit.

We made cards for our Year Six Buddies who received the Sacrament of Confirmation on the weekend and talked with them about this special day.
